Evelyn May Gregg Capper


Evelyn May Gregg Capper, age 88, of Springfield passed away Tuesday June 26, 2007 in Eaglewood Care Center.

She was born August 4, 1918 in Springfield, OH a daughter of Manford and Edna (Miller) Gregg and had resided in the Springfield and South Charleston area all her life. She was the last member of her immediate family. Her husband Everett L. Capper passed away March 4, 2001.

She retired from the Thermometer Corp. of America after 21 years of service. She was a member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the Eagles 397, The Ladies Auxilliary of the Moose 0429 and The Union Club. She was also a member of the Ohio State University Extension Club.

She was preceded in death by a cousin Edward Patrone of Erie, Pennsylvania and life lone friend Betty King. Survived by; stepson, Donald and Becky Capper of New Carlisle, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and two life long friends, Mary Gale Eaton of Urbana, Ohio, and Phillis Mack Daderio of Arizona.

Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2007 in the INGLING WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, South Charleston, with Pastor Bill Blain officiating. Internment will follow in Good Hope Cemetery. Family to receive friends one half hour prior to the service.
